Subject: Trouble re-linking kernel - unresolved externals

   Well the subject says it.  My sysadmin found that oour vendor had not 
installed 'newaliases' or 'dbm' and was unable to build a /usr/lib/aliases.pag
so he decided to uninstall the TCP/IP suite.  After doing this the kernel 
failed to re-link, with the error unresolved externals in c.o (_e03.init, and
two others starting with _e03 that I can't remember.)

   If anyone could explain to what might have happened here I would appreciate
the attempt. :)
