Message-ID: Date: 27 Jun 91 16:21:51 GMT Sender: news@OSF.ORG Distribution: comp Organization: Open Software Foundation Lines: 21 I am new to sounds on a PS/2. I have tried to use the Win3 program 'Sndtool'. When I try to play a sound, it just humms and sputters on our PS/2-70. Other programs like 'Sounder' and 'Sputter' do not work either. Do I need special hardware (i.e. Soundblaster) to play sounds? I've read in the Sndtool documentation that the PC should have a 'real' speaker and not a piezo-electric buzzer. Is this the problem that I am having with the PS/2? I would think that a speaker would be standard PC equipment. May be not :'(. Thanks in advance, =Mike -- == Michael K.
