I have been trying to set the File Manager: Tool Properties Default Document Editor as Other: using the command shelltool sh -c "sleep 3;emacs $FILE" Now if I click on a file in my root directory emacs opens it just fine and I can continue with my session. The Problem is if I am in a subdirectory in the file manager - then I click on a file to open .. Emacs puts up a window - but it is empty and it says (new file) at the bottom - I know my file is not empty - The other confussing thing is if I replace emacs with vi in the command line it all works fine.. Has someone seen this..?? Can you tell me how I might fix it..?? Please be explicite as I am a novice.. Thanks Much...!!! Susanne -- .^.^.
