Most programs should port pretty easily. The things that will cause you
problems are those which the X spec says something like "for POSIX based
systems ... otherwise it is implementation defined". For example, the
function XtAppAddInput does not take the same arguments as it does on
most any other platform I have seen.

The version that DEC supplies on VMS is often more up-to-date then the
version DEC supplies on Ultrix or SunOS. They are reasonably close to
eachother though, and should work together.
