I had no trouble drawing the figure, but when I got around to dumping it to a postscript file, it kept producing a zero length file. I finally noticed that it was issuing the following error message: Usage: f2ps [-f font][-s size][-e scale][-N][-c] [input [output]] It seemed odd to me that xfig wouldn't know how to issue a well-formed f2ps command, but I persevered by next asking it to just send the figure directly to the printer. It responded with: lpr: standard input: empty input file I wondered if it was even producing correct fig output, so I saved the figure to a .fig file and exited and entered xfig a few times, reading and writing the figure from/to the .fig file each time. Xfig at least had no problem reading its own output. Finally, I decided to run the .fig file through f2ps myself, to which f2ps provided the following rather rude response: > f2ps ~/lib.fig atan2: DOMAIN error atan2: DOMAIN error atan2: DOMAIN error atan2: DOMAIN error Segmentation fault (core dumped) Have any of you folks seen this kind of behavior out of xfig/f2ps? If so, do you have any idea what might be wrong and how I can fix it? Replies via e-mail, only, please. Thanks very much for any help you can provide. ------------------------------------------------ **************************** Dick Creps -- creps@stars.reston.unisys.com ** Unisys STARS Center ** ---------------------------------------------- ** 12010 Sunrise Valley Drive ** The words above may not accurately reflect ** Reston VA 22091 ** anyone's opinions, including my own. ** (703) 620-7100 ** ------------------------------------------- ********************************
