Has anyone written a version of xdvi which will create an xdvi_window if none exist, otherwise it runs the current xdvi_window on the specified dvi file? Also, can the command be made to automatically make the xdvi_window the "front" window? OR: Has anyone written a modification of tex-view-file which does these things? Jonathan squash@math.ufl.edu
