Before this was done most experts did not think this cross would work. I also heard of a Gibbon-something hybrid. In one of these two crosses there were several more chromosomes in one species than the other, but it still works. So far I have the following pairs: Known Hybrids How diff DNA Source of cross ----------------------------------------------------------- Horse Donkey >1% Common Mule Lion Tiger ? ? Wolf Dog ? Common Horse Zebra ? U.C. Davis, CA Baboon Rhesus ? SW Foundation, TX ? ? Unknown Hybrids How diff DNA Source of cross ----------------------------------------------------------- Human Chimpanzee <1% No public info, yet? If you have any info, or pointers to info, that would fit in these tables please send it to me. -- Vince
