For $100-$300, you can have the real thing.  Go to one of the bigger
hamfests in your area.  At Dayton, there were about 5 or 6 guys selling
radar guns, as cheap as $125 for Kustom MR-7's (X-band moving-type
radar guns).  The Ramsey kit operates on S band, which is sort of a
blessing, because you won't set off everyone's radar detector.
