I have the book here in my hand (I got it for $29.25) at Irvine
Sci-Tech Books in Irvine, California.

The book is an excellent introduction to the many applications of VR
for the beginner (i.e. myself)

It includes an historical development which should be interesting to
everyone- especially those who are buried in the technical details and
would like to see the broader view.

VR artists will find much interesting material here, and maybe
inspiration.
