SMC glitch compensation
We have at least one definite case and one probable of our SMC controller
misrepairing an ECC.  The code is right as near as we can tell, and is
running successfully elsewhere.  I have added a "NOECC" mode to the
driver, in which it does ECC's but does not really believe them -- it
proceeds to retry the transfer anyway.  We are currently running in
this mode to see if we turn up any more of these.
