V6 vs V7 files
Whenever V7 cutover does come, all user files from V6 will be transferred
to V7.  There is a problem here about what to do with the existing V7
files, especially those with the same names as V6 files.  Since V7 is,
has always been, and will be until V7 cutover, a use-at-your-own-risk
system, be warned that we may decide to solve this problem by simply
wiping the V7 user file area clean before bringing over the V6 files.
So, keep files you want saved either on V6 or on tape.  We will, at
least, make a tape of the existing V7 files before destroying them, but
we do not promise that retrieving things from this tape will be easy;
it is intended as a last resort rather than a routine procedure.  Stay
