V7 cutover
We are planning to cut over to V7 as the production system this weekend,
with Saturday (and possibly Friday) evening(s) used to move user files
from V6.  This requires that we do something with the existing V7 user
files, and we've decided what it is:  we're going to delete them all.
Users wishing to preserve files of theirs existing on V7 but not on V6
are advised to put them on tape before the cutover.  A tape of all the
current V7 user files will be kept, but access to it will be inconvenient;
it is intended as a last resort only.
