tar caching bugs
Fixed some bugs in the tar uid/gid cache code that caused some difficulties
last night.  Things now work correctly, although there is a lingering
inefficiency:  if the ascii group name is not found in /etc/group, and tar
has to go to the default login group corresponding to the ascii login name,
no caching is done.  This takes a somewhat more complex fix and will be done
the next time I am tinkering with tar.
