data acquisition
Data-acquisition users' long period of patient waiting should shortly be
rewarded:  the data-acquisition equipment is now set up again.  Wern
has a couple of small chores to do before it is fully operational (a
cooling fan in one of the 05's needs replacing, a couple of console
cables must be wired, and the various crates should be tested), but he
hopes to accomplish these tomorrow.
