tape prices
For some time, we have sold new magnetic tapes at $25 each.  The rotation
scheme we use for system backups periodically frees up tapes which
have been used at most a couple of dozen times:  practically new as
such things go.  We prefer to avoid reusing these tapes for further
backups, to make sure that backup tapes are always reasonably new and
the same tapes do not get used year after year.  As a result, we have
a limited supply of slightly-used tapes which we are selling for $20
each.  This will happen again from time to time.
