backup message
The apb announcement prior to 1800 backups can
really foul up printing on the Multiwriter or Diablo.
I was printing a long set of labels; the announcement
a) fouls up subsequent spacing b) wrecks labels)
c) could in some circumstances not be noticed in final
copy until an embarrassing time later d) is annoying
and means more time fixing.  Can it be shut off from
final-copy printers? Closing down unannounced would be
preferable to a botched job.
