Brenda is counting spikes
Recent tests and fiexes to Brenda's spike counting program
   have been successful and she is now storing the data on Unix.
One of the subroutines, csread (), seems to have problems that we
   cannot account for at this time. The sequence csread (xxx, 2) did
   not twiddle the counter properly; a cread () followed by a clear
   caommand was substituted in the place of the csread ().
