STS-3 experiments
Seven experiments will be carried aboard STS-3.  The main purposes
are to measure the environment of the shuttle so that future
payloads can be more effectively designed.  The second purpose
is to do as much scientific investigation as possible.

Some of the experiments will measure temperatures, charged particles,
contamination, and radiation within the shuttle when the bay doors
are open.  Another will see whether or not pine seedlings will
grow upright in the weightlessness of space.
