one character messages
I have seen a number of one character followups and replies,
and have so far chalked them up to somebody not knowing what
they were doing.  Noise on the line is, of course, a possibility.

It would certainly be a useful feature if the followup command
(or inews itself) would check to make sure the message contains
at least K printing characters (K might be 3, for example) and
if not, print a message such as
	you have just asked to post an article to newsgroup %s
	containing the text:
		...
	Do you really want to post this?
