New feature?
In spite of the availability of the documentation, I am constantly
being pestered by novice types who don't (yet) know what sorts of
things come in which newsgroups (and which are `official', etc.).  I
just had an idea how to eliminate this problem: give readnews another
option -? which means "tell me about available newsgroups", and merely
keep the information as fields in the `active' file.  Anyone care to do
this, or estimate how many staff-months, etc.??
