The USENIX association is an organization of UNIX users (including admin's)
who meet to discuss problems, advancements, enhancements, etc.
It's purpose is to enhance communication among people interested in UNIX.

If your interested in UNIX and it's related topics, then your encouraged to contribute
through your membership and attendance.

It's NOT a secret organization.  BTW, USENET was introduced at a USENIX
meeting.
