The creation of a "standard contact user" won't work out, unfortunately,
because there many systems on USENET where the news manager is not a
super user and cannot create mail aliases.  In fact, many systems simply
do not have the notion of a mail alias!  So it is not, in general, possible
to assume that mail to sys!news will work.  However, since "news" is the
name already in use on almost every system I know of, there is no reason
why those systems that can do so shouldn't make "news" an alias for the
right person.
