Articles are submitted to an unordered set of newsgroups, and read by subscribing to an " " ". An article submitted to "vlsi,graphics" will be read by anyone subscribing to "vlsi", or "graphics", or "graphics,vlsi". Newsgroups implement a keyword-based retrieval system. The subscription (meta) newsgroup "taxALL" matches tax, taxes, taxation, and taxonomy, and "tALL" matches telecom and taxes. News is certainly not a real bibliographic retrieval system. It does have a title matcher: "news -a -t setuid" find articles whose articles contain "setuid" (but not suid or even Setuid). Maybe we should add: "news -a -T setuid" to search the entire article.
