I am trying to argue the merits of a distributed vs. a centralized
mailer daemon.  I need opinions, facts, and statistics regarding the
effect of foreign host redistribution on the "manageability" of very
large mailing lists.  I am especially interested in list maintenance
overhead and processing power required.
