Eventually they try hitting ^D, which posts the message. If they were to hit DEL instead it would be aborted. My suggestion was that any message with fewer than K printing characters (K probably set to 2 or 3) would be refused, or at least the sender would be asked if s/he really wants to post that. The distinctive string is another reasonable idea. A third might be a more verbose message printed by the followup and reply commands, telling the user what he's doing and to hit DEL to abort. Mark
