Dotfill(1) is not guaranteed to work on Multiwriters, Xerox 1750's, or
similar devices.  This is due to fundamental problems which CANNOT be
entirely fixed.  A better solution for this problem is in the works,
but no promises can be made about timing.  Too much time has already
been invested in kludging dotfill and the multiwriter filters to try
to make things work right;  barring major emergencies, no more fixes
will be made to dotfill, the time being better spent on a permanent
solution.
