changing terminal speeds
Those persons who know how to change the speed of terminals (if you
don't, ignore this whole message) are, for the Nth time, requested
NOT TO DO SO unless there is an urgent reason.  The existing speed
settings have been chosen with some care.  And it is VERY confusing
to a more naive user to come upon a supposedly-working terminal that
some donkey has set to a different speed and then forgotten to set back.
I will personally wring the neck of the next person who does this to
a public terminal.  Bear in mind that the system's accounting records
are complete enough to tell me who last used a terminal.  The person
who used the 507 terminal about half an hour ago, who will remain
nameless THIS TIME, is hereby warned.
