We crashed about half an hour ago for unknown reasons.  The cpu halted,
and an examination of the place where it halted suggested a catastrophic
stack overflow had trashed core.  The system was not busy.  Suspected
cause is a hardware glitch, perhaps static electricity (Ron and I were
standing in the vicinity of the console talking, and he may have touched
the card reader at the precise instant of the crash).
