When someone on the ArpaNet, (e.g. RONNIE@WHITE-HOUSE) sez on
fa.unix-wizards 'Gosh, does anyone have a good recipe for macaroni and
cheese?', and I want to respond, how is it done? Do I broadcast to the
whole net that I like macaroni and chesse, or can I sneek a message
through an iron curtain somewhere to whomever I wish to speak to?

In particular:

Mr. Dave.Yost@Rand-Unix, yes, I have SCCS for the VAX. If you mail me
someway to communicate with you, I would be glad to give you details.
