A news is from Duke.  There are also some versions of A news from
Berkeley.  B news is from Berkeley.  If you use the same command
to post and read news (generally news or netnews) you run A.
If you use different commands (inews and readnews) you run B.
If your articles begin with an "A", you run A.  If your articles
look like mail messages with header lines like From: so and so,
you run B.
