Space Shuttle Progress Report; RMS System
Sources at National Research Council of Canada report that the end
effector was successfully mated with Canadarm on Sun. Jan 17; the
end effector (American slang is 'grabber') performed beautifully on
Monday's qualification tests and is 'go' for March launching. SPAR
Aerospace in Toronto continues work on the follow-on arms and hands
(grabbers) and is enjoying good financial forecast.
