Here's an idea for the possible elimination of duplicates.

When rnews gets a new articl, and has generated the temporary for it,
It could possibly look at the last few articles it has received in
that newsgroup.  A comparison for length could be done, and if the lengths
are within a reasonable distance of eachother (this might be 0), start comparing
them byte for byte starting at the termination of the header.
If they match, don't submit - OR FORWARD the new article.

This way, duplicate articles will be stopped one site from where they begin,
and if an error message was sent when this occurred, the source could be
found.
