Violet Fungi
After weeks of trying to find the legendary arrow bug, I stumbled across
an arrow trap - an arrow shot by me, I wielded the new-found treasure and
whacked at R, killing it with one stab. I knew then that I was in the good
graces of the random Rogue bug. What did I find in the next room but the
all treasured boon of genocide - away with the Us and I was home free -
or so I thought. I was running a little low on food so I was taking my time
getting to the lower levels of the dungeon. I merily whacked Xorns and the
like. Then I entered a room and beside me was a harmless potion, so being
the greedy Rogue player I was at the time, I moved to grab the potion, but
I was being held by a Violet Fungi. Try as I would to move in any direction
I couldn't, nor could I see my captor. We all know the final result as the
Invisible Fungi slowly dwindled my hit points, and my dreams of that Gut-
Wrenching-Feeling fell with my hit points. After an experience like that
I wonder what new bug is going to show its ugly head on the next adventure.
