I'm not sure about the freeby companies doing their own pressings,
but they usually print their own liners, on much poorer quality
stock. (Usually poor quality ink, too.) This is almost as bad
as bad pressings; the cover/liner is there to protect the album;
and what good is a record after you can't read the notes?

I've always been suspect of the freebie companies. 

By the way, a similar story holds for many of the book clubs;
you get 'special editions' printed on cheaper stock, or just
'outtakes/overruns'....
