Political Discussions

For once, I'd like to see a newsgroup that is for *simple* exchange of
information.  While political discussions are very interesting, let's
try to keep them in newsgroups where people want to read them.  I read
net.cooks for recipes and techniques, NOT to hear about someone's theories
about whether or not Wonder Bread is going to give me colon cancer.  While
the theories may well be correct, they do not have relevance to my interest
in net.cooks.  This net is so often a medium for flame exchanges, it was
refreshing to find that (at least for a few days) net.cooks was just
plain fun.  I don't care if there are macrobiotic recipes, recipes for
hot dogs with marshmallow fluff, recipes that are almost all sure-kill
cancer foods, or whatever in net.cooks - just spare us the politics
of the recipes!!!
