Well, yes.  "Defeating" a lep is actually more like capturing one (for
those of you into that sort of folklore).  The lep essentially gives
you the gold in order to get away.  In internal logic, what really
happens is that when the lep is killed, it leaves you its gold.  Lep
gold is attached to the creature, not to a room.
