However, the edit group of keys is botched. This group includes the arrow keys, backspace, tab, and things like insert line. As a group they either all work locally or all transmit. I have yet to meet anyone who wants backspace and tab to work locally instead of xmitting ^H and ^I. However, if you have more than one page of memory and want to use it to remember what has scrolled by, you really NEED to have the group in local mode. If you only want one page of memory or you prefer to type ^H and ^I using the control key, this won't be a problem. Couple this with the fact that TVI makes some of the worlds worst keyboards (designed to be hammered on by airline clerks and never break), the "magic cookie" standout glitch (making this terminal a lose for any fancy editor or multi-font text processing system) and the funny status line (you can put things there, but no tabs or escape sequences allowed) and I would recommend against it.
