self-protecting news system
it is also annoying that the news system refuses to accept news
submissions (in this case yet another gripe) when a person is angry with
it. this is a very handy feature: it allows time for bellyachers such
as myself to cool off before flaming--maybe they will cool off and not
send the gripe. but i am a very patient griper.
