net news yet again
contrary to henry's implication that this morning's frustrations were not
due to polling news, how does he explain tty22 running it in the background
and more articles coming in ALL MORNING. it was stopped only by the crash.
i am not suggesting that the lock-up be removed, i AM suggesting that
the polling be done during off hours. 

i agree that there are some benefits to be derived from the net--the bug
reports, useful programs, etc., but these are only of interest to a very
small minority. the freeloading newsgroups occupy the bulk of material
coming thru. i know this is none of my business but nevertheless i will
continue to bellyache when i am inconvenienced by what i consider frills.
