floppy drive doors
Wern tells me he has cautioned users before about a common abuse of the
floppy drives:  letting the doors slam open.  I know it's tempting to
just pull up the catch and let the door snap down, but DON'T DO IT.
The doors are linked to the head mechanism, and too much of this abuse
breaks it.  Wern is fairly sure that this is what knocked out the drive
that went bad a few days ago.  It's a real hassle to fix, too.

Penalty for slamming the drive doors is two weeks using RT11 instead of
Unix.  And from floppies, too.
