leather armor and Rust monsters
   I was also wondering about this (and I note that the individual who
hacked up the program to produce what we call nbrogue (much greater
randomness, some of the obvious imbalances in monster values altered)
"fixed" this) but have you ever considered what holds leather armor
together? From recent SCA articles I note that leather can be hardened
with wax (which R's shouldn't like) but the description of assembly
suggests that metal is still needed to hold the assemblage together,
if only to pin on the straps which hold the front and back together
(you can't tie these; leather heavy enough notto be easily cuttable
is too thick to knot reasonably).
