"L's and N's"
We haven't been having much trouble with Ls and Ns.
However, we have a couple of stories ...
1.  Once we had cursed armor on, dropped everything else, and
attacked a N.  She did not steal the armor.
2.  A friend dropped everything that he had except for some rocks,
(going to attack a N), was about to drop those also, and stepped
into a trap down to the next level (17).   Without armor and weapons,
he soon perished.  Let this be a warning to those who are too clever.
3.  We attacked a N with nothing but 2 rings on, she stole one and
left something there.  The first time this happened we took it off,
got the message "Something bizarre - 0.".  The second time this
happened we were hoping that it was eternal life or something,
and so we kept it on and let a Q attack us.  Unfortunately,
the Q killed us, so it (at least not always) is a ring of eternal life.
4.

We haven't had too much trouble with Ls.

5.  It's getting pretty easy to win once we've heard about
the magic arrows.  We do know one person who won without a
magic arrow, without cheating, and without any genocides!
It was a combination of luck, good play, and perserverance.
