Sad bug story of the week:
Having gotten down to level 17 and doing well, I managed to trigger
one of those unexpected infinte loops that occasionally happen.
As usual, I disconnected, logged on again and restarted the game.
Unfortunately every wandering monster on the level had managed to
find me during the time the program was looping.  I toe-to-toed it
with 3 Rust Monster, two Xorns and a Yeti before being fatally
sandwiched between a Xorn and an Umber Hulk in a corridor where I
couldn't use my wand of fire.
