mail aborting
There is a new version of mail under test, to be installed shortly.
It will include some way to say "oops, I want to edit that before
I send it".  I too "know" I should mail from a file, but I never
learn, and it's not hard to fix this one.  Unix 3.0 (the next Unix
from Bell) simply drops mail in dead.letter when you hit interrupt,
and that seems a reasonable user interface for this.  Comments on
this are solicited (by mail, please).
