magtape hassles
The magic-finger crash was probably static electricity.  A contributing
factor, probably, is that breaker #11 has given a fair bit of evidence
in the past that it is running close to its limits.  We need to spread
our power input around a bit more.

The magtape is still out of it;  it has at least one part blown that
the repairman has never ever found blown, and he has to scare up a
spare.  There may well be more things blown.
