config hints for PDP-11
If you're having trouble with pacman under your 2bsd system,
try looking at the FIONREAD ioctl.  In 4bsd, this returns an
int (at least, that's how it's declared) but in 2.8, it's an off_t.
This causes hangs to happen immediately after the instructions.

Another good thing to do is make sure your output is buffered.
curses doesn't do this automatically, but the normal 2bsd stdio
does.  If you're not running a stdio that buffers, a setbuf
in the appropriate place will work wonders.
