VT-100 troubles...

I need some help...We have just recently come into a VT-100 with a
Racal-Vadic modem, and we are having some troubles connecting
succesfully with ITS systems. We tried it in VT-52 emulation mode,
with a TCTYP of VT-52 on ITS and got garbage at line starts, like
'/034$1!' and other assorted garbage. We then tried a CRTSTY of
VT-100 with Speed set to 1200bd. We got the same type of effect.
Also, all of the control chracters we sent were ecoed by the
terminal as VT-100 graphics characters, or not echoed at all.
Also, the space bar had no effect on ITS. I would appreciate it
if it were possible to get the exact bit settings that are required
to hook to ITS, including parity, etc. If you need more info on
the problem, I can try to get further into detail.
