missing news
The more astute members of the audience may have noticed that we seem
to have a bit of a gap in our news.  Monday night at decvax, "...our
operator dumped the disks to themselves instead of to tape...we had
to go back to Saturday's backups...".  So the stuff that was spooled
for us at the time is gone.  Any mail messages that got hit are gone for
good.  News is potentially still available but must be re-sent manually,
and I hesitate to impose on Bill Shannon too much.  I've asked him to
resend net.bugs items, and will ask him for anything else that appears
to be of major importance.
