What is the etymology of "flame"?
Various people one the net seem to have "flames in the fingers".
And the ability to turn it on/off at will!

>From reading the netnews, I get the drift of what "flames" ARE,
but where did the term COME FROM.  I never heard it before
I started reading netnews (circa 3 mos. ago.)
