    The Skeptical Inquirer is a delightful magazine, and I enthusiastically
recommend it for anyone trying to stay sane amid the current flood of pseudo-
science and wishful thinking. It is published quarterly by the Committee for
the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP), for $15/yr.
To subscribe, write to The Skeptical Inquirer, Box 229, Central Park Station,
Buffalo, NY, 14215. The Committee includes professional magicians as well as
scientists and philosophers, since only experts at deception and entertainment
are really able to examine claims where so much money can be made by popular
psychics, astrologers, UFO propagandists, etc. The Inquirer also carries book
reviews (which can be very interesting) and a regular column on pseudoscience
in the news. Among its Fellows are L. Sprague de Camp, Isaac Asimov, and Martin
Gardner.
